A TenOrZ Christmas
Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, 2018 Morning Matinee Season
Wednesday 5th December
Our inaugural concert two weeks ago at Blackheath Golf Club proved an enormous success and was a complete sellout, with many people missing out. However, for a fortunate few who turned up at the door the club managed to find a few extra places on easy chairs and in the odd corner.
The mix of Australian standards with numbers from Opera/Operetta and musicals proved very popular with the patrons and we received some very positive comments together with suggestions for future repertoire. Stuart and Tom both sang solos to great acclaim and David not only multi-tasked on the flute but also featured in a duet with local identity and soprano Linda Foulsham. Our Keyboard whiz and wonderful maestro Glen Amer made the upright piano sound like an orchestra and had the audience singing along with his solo spot. The informal atmosphere and rapport with the audience was appreciated, even the occasional bad joke! Many also commented on our smart new outfits in our theme colours - check out the photos in our gallery.
Overall we had an absolutely super time and it was very encouraging to be invited back in a few months before we even got out the door so keep a lookout for that date to be confirmed for 2018.
PS. We enjoyed a great game of golf the next morning too!
On 17 June 2017 David Hamilton sang the Scottish National Anthem at the international rugby match in Sydney and inspired the Scots to a famous win over Australia. Despite this... he is still a member of Tenorz Downunder!!!
